The Keepsake Box

Faith Anne is a child that stole my heart the moment I looked into her gorgeous blue eyes.  If I was married, I swear this little angel would be mine.  I've felt special connections with every child I've ever chosen to advocate for, but none like the instant connection I had with Faith Anne.  I never had to question it, I began advocating for her while I was advocating for Mick (Who now has a forever family)

I haven't wrote much at all on this blog, or even wrote her a letter before, but I have already bought her a few gifts for her keepsake box.  :)

You may be wondering what a keepsake box is exactly.
I started out getting a present for a little boy I was advocating for, then I needed something to store it in.  I decided to get a box and call it his keepsake box.   Of course with only one small gift I had to find more to fill it to the top.  And by the time he found his forever family it wasn't able to shut anymore it was so full.

The keepsake box is a way to tell the child you are advocating for that you loved them when inside the orphanage walls they thought no one really did.  Mothers collect their babies things and store them in a keepsake box, but adoptive moms can't do that when their child is growing up without them.  This gives them some special things to hold on to.  :)

I always get "my" little babies a stuffed animal that usually is the theme of their keepsake box.  I did Pooh Bear for one, and penguins for another.  For the first time I actually have a pretty little girl to get things for.

And her theme will be cats.  Not always Hello Kitty thought.  Though it was a big favorite of mine when I was younger.   So you never know!

I am so in love with this little stuffed animal for Faith Anne.  When I looked at it, i had to get it for her.  I can't wait to see her hold it one day with her forever family. <3

This present was the first gift I ever purchased for her.
I feel that this is the most beautiful present I could have gotten her.
I loved it so much that I convinced my mom to get one for my baby sister, Victoria Faith.

This is the pretty packaging it comes in...

It's a little bracelet that says "God's Precious Princess"
This is something I hope that she can one day look at and think of me.
This is exactly what I see in Faith Anne, God's precious little princess.

Inside the top of the box the bracelet comes in it says this....

If I could describe that little message in one word it would be: Perfection.

I don't have a keepsake box to keep her things in yet so I got her this little bag that is in the back of this photo.

Thank you so much for reading this post.  Please feel free to follow and continue this journey of falling for Faith Anne <3
